Just ran across your blog and saw this post felt I had to comment.

Its one of lifes little mysterys why people send that kind of abuse to us as community owners, I have to say ive had far worse lol.

I had someone who questioned my sexuallity said he would find where i lived and then close my site down, in among several Fs and Cs lol.

I also have been told im being taken to the european court of human rights for privacy issues or something, you couldnt even make it up lol.

We as owners dont even pay any attention to these people anymore, theres a bit of armchair general involved, where people feel as though they can say what they like from behind a keyboard, I reported the person who abused our site, and they were dealt with by their ISP.

Aside from being threatened with being reported to sub-standard current affairs programs I think my favourite was being threatened that we’d be reported to the Humans Right Commission. Maybe not laughable but it was for asking a member to remove their (inappropriate) signature.

There aren’t (yet) many community managers in Australia so it’s nice to be able to read this blog and relate to others in the same position.

Seriously? Just because someone else did it first does not make it okay. Odds are, we’ve removed their comment too, or didn’t see it yet. And not telling us about it doesn’t make your behavior any more right. Yeesh.
